1. Service Overview

DiffSpot is a Chrome browser extension that monitors web pages for changes and notifies users when content is updated. The service is operated by Yusuke Takeuchi ("we", "us", "our").

DiffSpot offers a free tier that runs entirely within your browser, as well as paid plans that provide additional features including cloud-based monitoring, advanced notifications, and higher usage limits.

2. Accounts

The free plan does not require an account. To access paid features, you must sign in using Google OAuth. By signing in, you agree to provide accurate information and to keep your account secure.

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at support@diffspot.tech.

3. Subscriptions and Billing

Paid plans (Pro and Business) are billed monthly through Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring monthly basis until you cancel.

• Pro Plan — $5 per month
• Business Plan — $15 per month

Prices are in US dollars and may be subject to applicable taxes depending on your location. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' advance notice.

4. Refund Policy

You may cancel your subscription at any time from within the extension or by contacting us. Upon cancellation:

• Your subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing period.
• You will not be charged for subsequent billing periods.
• No pro-rata refunds are provided for partial billing periods.

If you believe you were charged in error, please contact us at support@diffspot.tech and we will review your case.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use DiffSpot to:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations.
• Monitor pages in a manner that constitutes unauthorized access or scraping in violation of a website's terms of service.
• Overwhelm or disrupt target websites with excessive requests.
• Collect personal data of third parties without their consent.
• Resell or redistribute the service without our permission.

6. Intellectual Property

DiffSpot and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by us and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer the software.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

DiffSpot is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that monitored pages will always be accurately captured.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, arising from your use of DiffSpot.

9. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date on this page. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

10. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
